Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using HoneyTruster ("the Service"), operated by HoneyTruster Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HoneyTruster provides a platform for beekeepers to create digital provenance pages for their honey products, generate QR codes for product labeling, and manage apiaries and batches. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with free and paid tiers.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

4. Subscription & Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including photos, descriptions, lab results, and batch data ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and reproduce it solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service, including on public provenance pages you choose to publish.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent product information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written consent

7. Provenance & Accuracy

HoneyTruster provides tools for beekeepers to document and share product provenance. We do not independently verify the accuracy of information provided by users. Beekeepers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their batch data, lab results, and product descriptions. The "Verified Provenance" badge indicates that the beekeeper has provided provenance data, not that we have independently verified it.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and code, is owned by HoneyTruster Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HoneyTruster Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
